I’ve done the chalk colorway on this blog before, but the Reebok Classic Nylon Team Navy is probably the quintessential color scheme for this shoe.
Reebok introduced this running shoe in 1983 which took their classic Aztec model and updated it with a focus on lightweight materials and performance.
The shoe is navy and white with red hits, so the mentality when putting together an outfit with these is similar to that used on the True Blue 3. Basically, USA-type colorways, white tees and medium wash denim are going to be the way to go with these. Any light, bright crispy outfit can really stand out with a shoe like this. I personally am sporting these with a white Bape tee and some medium light wash jeans.
For those complaining about the shoveltoe runners that brands put out (cough cough Nike), these are definitely a good shoe to consider. While you won’t find top tier materials at this price point, you will find a sleek looking runner that’s a definite throwback.
How Are The Materials?
The materials on these are not very good. This shoe isn’t about the materials though. These feature a rough suede and nylon upper with leather on the Reebok stripes. The construction on the shoe is solid and the leather seems ok but that suede is not good at all. Don’t expect quality materials on these and you will not be disappointed when you receive them.
How Do They Fit?
The Reebok Classic Nylon Team Navy fits true to size and is very comfortable. I went down a half size and the fit is snug but still good with a looser lace up. The main thing about this shoe is the classic look and shape. I think only the pairs with nylon really show off the silhouette properly as the toebox angles at a sharp slant. These look great on feet!
